Peter Fouin

Peter is a board member of Four Architecture & Design and also a director of the member company, Fouin + Bell Architects.

Peter joined co-director David Bell in 1999 to form Fouin+Bell Architects Limited.

After graduating from Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen in 1983 he joined Aberdeen practice Thomson, Craig and Donald to complete his professional practice and rose to Project Architect. During this period he worked on major office developments for Occidental and Britoil along with a major development of a new Paper Machine House for Taits of Inverurie.

Following a drop in the oil price he spent two years as a Project Manager for W.H.Smith in Swindon working on the DIY chain ‘Do It All’. He returned to Thomson, Craig and Donald in 1989 as Project Architect on site for the major luxury hotel development at Cameron House on the shores of Loch Lomond. Following completion of that project he set up the Edinburgh office of TCD and ran it for ten years as an Associate Director, projects included development of a retail banking portfolio with Midland Bank, TSB and Bank of Scotland and also a major retail development at Dumfries Retail Park.

Since forming Fouin+Bell Architects, Peter has been the director responsible for the commercial clients and projects. He has developed the Retail Banking sector to include a framework appointment with HSBC along with project for Lloyds Banking Group, Clydesdale Bank, RBS, Nationwide and TSB. Since Fouin+Bell’s inception Peter has established a proven track record in the Financial Sector working on a broad range of project types including Retail Branch Network Programmes, Head Office Buildings, Call Centres and Commercial Centres.

Peter’s focus is developing the commercial side of the business, expanding its Financial Sector work and moving into larger scale projects including a new Data Centre in Fife.
