David is a board member of Four Architecture & Design and also a director of the member company, A&Q Partnership.
David joined A&Q Partnership in 1994 and became a Director of the Practice in 1995. After graduating from the University of Liverpool, David joined a dynamic commercial practice in Hampstead, London, where he was Project Architect for a number of high-profile commercial developments for blue-chip property developers including MEPC, Barclays DeZoutte Wedd, Chelsfield and Laing Properties. These developments included new-build office schemes, industrial estates and business parks.
Prior to joining A&Q Partnership, David worked at the Company of Designers London (CoD) Headquarters and was involved in their joint venture with Swedish Architects FFNS. During his time at CoD, David was Associate Director responsible for the major redevelopment of the Wellcome Trust Headquarters building as well as several office buildings for UK and Swedish developers, retail banking projects and retail parks.
Since joining A&Q Partnership, David has been Director in charge of major framework agreements, roll-out programmes for UK Retail Banks, together with retail projects, office fit-outs, critical facilities projects, and strategic master-planning studies for blue-chip organisations. He heads up the retail banking division of the Practice, which has over 25 years’ experience in delivering more than a thousand projects for UK banks.
Together with co-Director Tony Ingram, David opened the Hong Kong office in 2010. The Practice has since completed several successful projects and is currently exploring a number of opportunities in the region.
Alongside the other four Directors of the Practice, David has helped to develop A&Q Partnership into a highly respected, award-winning international Architectural practice with a multi-million pound turnover.
