Anthony Ash


Tony is a board member of Four Architcture & Design and also a director of the member company, HLN Architecture + Engineering.

Tony has been with HLN Architects since its inception and was made a Director of the company in 1995.

Working in the Architectural profession since the mid 70’s his career opened up when joining Wallis Gilbert and Partners as an Associate responsible for clients that included the Welsh Development Agency, Midland Bank and a number of commercial developers. In 1980, Tony formed the team that designed and delivered the new Welsh Water Authority Headquarters in West Wales.

After the incorporation of Wallis Gilbert and Partners into the HLN Group, Tony’s client portfolio increased to cover sectors of Financial, Leisure and Commercial, moving to the position of Managing Director shortly after. In 2000, he established the business of HLN + Bezzina and Cole, a joint venture with a Maltese firm of Architects to deliver the major refurbishment of HSBC’s southern Mediterranean Headquarters, Qormi Malta.

Today, Tony’s focus is on the development of the business through its core sectors looking at opportunities with both new and existing clients alongside the expansion of the companies’ ability to promote additional value such as Building Information Modelling through new software technology.

Although based in the Cardiff office, he can be found in any of the Groups offices including London where he spends a fair proportion of the working week.
